Bad news comes from the entertainment industry. Madhura Pandit Jasraj, wife of late Pandit Jasraj passed away. Madura’s health has been failing over the past few months. Madura is a filmmaker, writer and music lover. He breathed his last at his home in Versova, Mumbai. His last rites will be held at Oshihara Crematorium at 4pm on Wednesday.
Madhura Jasraj is no more
Due to the death of Madhura Jasraj, there has been a wave of condolences in the music industry. Everyone is praying for their souls to rest in peace. Fans expressed sadness over Madhura Jasraj bidding farewell to the world. Apart from son Sharang Dev and daughter Durga Jasraj, he also has grandchildren at home. Madhura is the daughter of film producer Dr. V. Shantaram.

Madhura Pandit Jasraj has done two films. He has directed many documentaries and created many music albums related to classical music. Madhura is the daughter of famous film producer V Shantaram and married Pandit Jasraj in 1962. In 1954, the two met at a music program. Pandit Jasraj passed away due to cardiac arrest in August 2020.
Along with Pandit Ji’s artistic practice, Madura also performed arduous austerities to perfect his personality. She has co-directed many documentaries and dramas with her husband Pandit Jasraj. Not only this, Madhura has also produced a documentary and written a book on her father V Shantaram and husband Pandit Jasraj. He also directed the Marathi feature film “Aai Tuja Ashirwad”. In addition to this, he also expressed his imagination through many music albums. Madura also wrote many books.
Although Madhura Jasraj is not among us today, her contribution to the entertainment world will always be appreciated.
