Can be seen even without binoculars or telescope
No need for any instruments, i.e. binoculars or telescope. You’ll get a better view if you have one. There have always been questions about the arrival and appearance of comets. It is also known as Comet C/2023 A3. The best observation time is from September 27th to October 2nd.
So far, comet Chukinshan-Atlas looks like a fuzzy star to the naked eye when looking out of the cupola. But with a 200mm, f2 lens, at 1/8 second exposure, you can really start to see it. When is the best time to visit it?
You’ll see it in the east-southeast half an hour before sunrise. The best viewing time is on the morning of September 29th and September 30th. A waning moon can be seen in the morning. You might be a little fooled in the morning because it looks like the 20 brightest stars at night.
How do you know if you’re looking for the right comet?
However, the best way to identify it is to look at its tail. Because stars have no tails. And it happens on comets. After October 2, it will disappear under the sun. Thereafter, it will be visible again on October 12. That night it will be its closest approach to Earth. At that time, it will be visible in the western direction.
