2024-09-24 19:43:56 : Launched in India on Tuesday, Nothing Ear Open is the first open-back wireless earphones from British startup Nothing, led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. It features Nothing’s signature transparent design. Nothing Ear Open features 14.2mm dynamic drivers and is IP54 dust and splash resistant. They also support AI Clear Voice technology to improve call quality and are said to offer up to 30 hours of total playback time on a single charge.

Nothing Ear Open price in India is set at Rs. 17,999. It will be sold in a single white color option. The company has not yet revealed the availability of the wireless earphones, but the device is listed on the company’s India website.

Like the company’s other wireless headphones, the Nothing Ear Open features a partially transparent design element on the stem. It has an open design with curved straps that hang behind the wearer’s ears. It is equipped with 14.2mm dynamic drivers.

Nothing also claims to integrate with OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot when pairing the headset to a Nothing phone.

The wireless earphones feature pinch controls and offer Swift Pair and Google Fast Pair support. These controls and EQ options can be customized via the Nothing X app on a paired smartphone. The headphones support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and support AAC and SBC codecs. Nothing Ear Open can be paired with two devices at the same time.

Nothing Ear Open has an IP54 dust and splash resistance rating. They also feature AI-powered Clear Voice technology that works when making and receiving calls using the headset, with a claimed latency rate of less than 120 milliseconds. However, the headphones do not support active noise cancellation (ANC).

Both earphones come with a 64mAh battery, and the charging case comes with a 635mAh battery that can be charged via a USB Type-C port. The new headphones are said to provide up to 6 hours of voice call time and up to 8 hours of music playback time without a protective case.

The newly launched Nothing Ear Open is said to provide up to 30 hours of music playback time with the charging case. A ten-minute charge is said to provide two hours of listening time. The headphones weigh 8.1 grams and the case weighs 63.8 grams.
