A case of rape of a married woman took place in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh. The victim said she came to her uncle’s house in a village within the jurisdiction of the police station. A young man she used to know did something wrong to her and threatened to have the obscene video go viral. He took her to Kanpur and molested her in a hotel for 15 days. After receiving a report from the victim, the police opened a case and launched an investigation.
The victim told police in her complaint that her husband was living out of town for work. She came to her uncle’s house on July 10. On the afternoon of September 2, a young man from a neighboring village came near her uncle’s house and asked her to come out to pick her up. The young man then showed her obscene photos and videos on his phone.
Married woman raped in hotel for 15 days
After this, he began to put pressure on physical relationships. When the woman protested against this, he started using caste-based words and threatened to send her photos and videos to her in-laws.
Fearing this, she went to Kanpur at the request of the young man. The accused raped her for 15 days. On September 17, he took him to Gorakhpur, where the young man’s parents had driven. Thereafter, the young man’s mother took the girl to her natal family in the Piplachi area and began pressuring her to get married.
The police filed a case and started investigation
SP Somendra Meena said the Kotwali police had received a complaint that a woman was raped. A former acquaintance of the victim took her to Kanpur after showing her private photos. She was raped in the hotel for about 15 days. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
