2024-09-24 10:35:28 : The company’s rumored open true wireless stereo (TWS) headphones, Nothing Ear Open, are expected to launch later today. So far, the UK-based OEM has teased upcoming products but has yet to reveal any details. Design renders of the expected audio wearable, along with expected key features, have surfaced online. They are expected to maintain the brand-specific design language and come with larger batteries than most TWS earphones on the market. The headset is also expected to support OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Winfuture (in German) has leaked the design of its open-back TWS earphones from Nothing, which are said to be translucent. They come with long, curved straps that are expected to help the earphones stay in place. The earphones come in white and are housed in a pill-shaped charging and storage case.

No ear opening feature (expected)
According to the publication, the Nothing Ear Open headphones will feature 14.2mm titanium-coated polyethylene terephthalate drivers. They will also reportedly feature “bass boost” technology as well as dual-device and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The touch sensor is said to be placed on the transparent part of the earphones.
The report adds that Nothing Ear Open is likely to come with AI-powered clear voice technology, a low-latency mode, and an IP54-rated construction that’s dust- and splash-proof. The case is also expected to receive similar certification. Like Nothing’s other products, the headphones are expected to get ChatGPT support. The estimated weight of each earphone is 8.1 grams.
The Nothing Ear Open earphones are expected to come with a 64mAh battery, while the accompanying charging case is said to have a 635mAh battery. The headphones reportedly offer up to eight hours of battery life on a single charge.
Together with the case, the headphones are said to offer 30 hours of playback time. The publication claims that the earphones are expected to provide up to 24 hours of total talk time, including 6 hours of earphone use.
