Let us tell you that 19-year-old Mithlesh Kumar is a resident of Govardhan Bigha village under Halsi police station area of Lakhisarai district. He was arrested after wandering around in an IPS outfit. He told the police that a man named Manoj Singh from Kaira district offered him a police job and demanded Rs two lakh and thirty thousand rupees from him for the same. For this purpose, Mitlesh took two lakh rupees from his uncle and gave it to Manoj Singh so that he could get a job in the police station.

According to police, Mithlesh Kumar and Manoj Singh were charged in the case on the basis of a written application by Mozammil Ansari, sub-inspector of Sikandra police station. During interrogation of Mithlesh Kumar, it was found that Manoj Singh gave him a uniform, lighter pistol and a bag at Khaira Chowk and said that he got a job in IPS. Jamui DSP Satish Suman said arrest is not mandatory in cases involving sentences of seven years or less.
