Rajouri, September 24: National Conference (NC) president and three-time chief minister Farooq Abdullah on Monday said the legal battle to restore Article 370 will continue.

Abdullah said that in the first two judgments of the Supreme Court, Article 370 was mentioned as permanent, but in the third judgment, it was termed as temporary.

“We will continue this legal fight and keep knocking on the Supreme Court’s door,” he said.

Ridiculing the BJP’s claim that it will form the next government in J&K, Abdullah said the NC and Congress will form the next government in J&K.

When asked by the BJP-led government about the ST status of the Pahari tribe, he questioned the timing of announcing the status to the Pahari tribe.

“They were in the government for 10 years but why did they give ST status to the Paharis only before the assembly elections? The aim was to attract the Paharis and pressure them but the Paharis have realized the game ,” Abdullah said.

Questioning the BJP’s claim on the nexus of Article 370 with terrorism, he said the BJP used to say that terrorism in J&K was due to Article 370, but even after the abrogation of Article 370, terrorism remains It is prevalent in the area and conflicts often occur.

Abdullah questioned the government’s silence over the recent rape of Dalit girls.

He questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the rape of a sanitation worker at the Ayodhya Ram temple Remaining “silent” and saying: “Isn’t she our sister?” and daughter? Earlier, while addressing a public rally, he said, “The BJP spreads hatred everywhere and even misuses the name of the lord, though that is why the BJP lost the Ayodhya seat in the assembly polls. They misused Lord Ram’s name, Lord Ram gives a lesson to the BJP.”

Abdullah said the BJP is spreading hatred everywhere and it is very important to end hatred to save India.

He also made a strong appeal to people to unite and support an alliance with Congress in the ongoing J&K polls, saying it was not about religion but action.

The former chief minister stressed on fighting “forces” spreading hatred across the country, which he claimed were trying to weaken the state to stay in power.

Addressing a rally in Surankot, Abdullah took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and criticized his remarks on ‘mangalsutra’ which he said were meant to incite hatred among the masses.

“Aaj yah dharm ki baat nahin hai, yah karm ki baat hai kyunki yah badi jung hai nafrat ke khilaf (Today, it is not about religion but about action because this is a great fight against hatred). It is a A fight against those parties who spread hatred and want to divide India. Can we bury those parties who spread hatred in India?

Abdullah, accompanied by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, campaigned in support of Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance candidate Mohammad Shahnawaz for the Surankot Assembly segment in Poonch border district election.

He stressed the importance of the alliance’s success.

“This fight is against the hatred spread across the country by the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. They are trying to create conflict between Hindus and Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs, Hindus and Christians, just to But they failed and their strategy didn’t work,” Abdullah said.

He also called for social harmony, saying: “We all must unite to fight this battle – Hindus, Muslims, Gujjars, Kashmiris, Shias and Sunnis. Today, this is with It’s not about religion. It’s about action, because this is a great fight against hatred.”

Abdullah quoted Gandhi as saying that he intended to “close the shop of hate and open the shop of love.”

“The people of J&K want to crush the vehicle of hate and drive the vehicle of love across India. That’s what we do, that’s what we believe in.”

Abdullah urged people to vote for the alliance and bring his government to J&K.

Abdullah mentioned the rebel candidate Chaudhry Mohammad Akram, who is contesting against the Congress candidate in the constituency, and asked him to step aside in the “larger interest” of the alliance.

“Akram Sahab, your continued stance strengthens those forces that do not want us to live in peace. Stand down and let this alliance succeed,” he urged.
