If this was a true farmers’ movement, then Uttar Pradesh held assembly elections, which the BJP won with an overwhelming majority.

On the issue of ticket distribution, Union Minister Krishna Pal said that there are multiple winning candidates in each seat, but tickets can be issued to only one candidate. He said the PPP would take everyone’s opinion into consideration while allocating tickets.
