Renuka Swamy murder case: Three accused released on conditional bail, police drop murder charges.

The Karnataka High Court has granted conditional bail to three accused serving jail terms in Bengaluru’s famous Renuka Swamy murder case. After the hearing, High Court Judge Vishwajeet Shetty granted bail to accused No. 15 Karthik, No. 16 Keshav Murthy and No. 17 Nikhil. Bengaluru police dropped murder charges against the three accused in the charge sheet. After the case came to light, Keshav Murthy was the first to surrender and confess to the murder.

In the murder case, Bengaluru police named Kannada actress Pavitra Gowda as the first accused and actor Darshan as the second accused. Apart from this, Pawan is accused as number 3, Raghavendra is accused as number 4, Nandish is accused as number 5, Jagdish is accused as number 6, Anu is accused as number 7, Vinay is accused as number 10 and Nagaraju is accused as accused number 11, Laxman as accused number 7 12. Deepak was named as accused number 13, Pradosh as accused number 14, Keshav Murthy as accused number 16 and Nikhil as accused number 17 defendant.

Earlier, the court extended the judicial custody of all 17 accused, including actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his girlfriend Pavitra Gowda, till September 30. All the accused appeared before the 24th Additional Chief Magistrate’s Court through video conferencing. The police presented some technical evidence related to the case to the court. On September 4, a 3,991-page preliminary charge sheet was presented in court.

Actor Darshan, 47, is currently lodged in Bellary Jail. He was shifted from the Palapana Agrahara Central Jail with court permission after a photo of him on the jail lawn with three others, including a gangster, went viral. The court also allowed the transfer of other co-accused in the murder case to different prisons in the state. During the process, all the defendants were held in various prisons across the state.

Among them, Pawan, Raghavendra and Nandish are imprisoned in Mysuru, Jagadish and Laxman are imprisoned in Shivamogga jail, Dhanraj is imprisoned in Dharwad, Vinay is imprisoned in Vijaypura, Nagraj is imprisoned in Gulbarga, and Pradosh is imprisoned in Belagavi jail . The other three accused, Pavitra Gowda, Anukumar and Deepak, are lodged in the Palapana Agrahara Central Jail. The chargesheet filed by the Bengaluru police has made many significant revelations. It is learned that Kannada actor Darshan and his associates brutally treated Renuka Swamy.

Pages 174 and 175 of the charge sheet states that Darshan kicked Renuka Swamy severely in his private parts. Not only that, they also struck him violently on the head and chest. Renuka Swamy was kept in a shed in Patangere. Pavitra Gowda, Vinay and Pradosh went there in a Scorpio car at 4:30 pm on the day of the incident. Later, actor Darshan also reached there. The victim had previously been beaten by other defendants.

Due to the blows of Darshan, the victim fell to the ground. Afterwards, the actor puts one foot in front of his chest and pushes hard. He then hit him hard on the left side of the head with his shoe. The attack resulted in severe injuries to his left ear. Still not satisfied with this, Darshan directed the second accused, Pawan, to remove Renukaswamy’s pants. He then struck her private parts hard with his shoe. He died because of it.
