3 arrested for vandalizing railway tracks in Vadodara by opening fish plates

The LCB team of Surat police has arrested three persons in the railway track vandalism case at Vadodara near Surat. The three include Subhash Poddar lineman, another government employee and a contract worker. Subhash Poddar informed railway officials about the fish plates and padlocks being removed from the tracks.

In fact, on the morning of September 21, in the Vadodara area near Surat, the fishplates and keys of the railway tracks were opened and kept on the upward track. This could have resulted in a bigger accident, but Deputy Station Chief Kiman alerted Kiman Subhash Kumar in time. An inspection of the tracks later revealed a conspiracy to derail the train. After receiving the information, the train was immediately stopped and the track repaired.

Surat Rural SP said the fishplates were taken out after 5am on September 21 from a one-and-a-half kilometer stretch of track between Keem and Kosamba railway stations in Surat. The NIA team also joined the investigation team. Subhash Poddar, Manish Mistry and Shubham Jaiswal, who were doing maintenance work on the track, have been arrested in connection with the case.

His phone was also checked. However, they deleted the video. At Subhash’s request, Manish removed the fishplate from the track. They do this work for fame and reward. Subhash has been working in Railways for the past 9 years. The police have registered a case under India’s Judicial Code and Railways Act, which could lead to life imprisonment or even death. The photos were deleted from Manish’s phone at 2:57 am, while the time of complaint is said to have been after 5 pm. This aroused the suspicion of the police. After the police interrogated them, all the truth came to light.
