2024-09-23 18:32:44 : OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro are said to be the successors of OnePlus Ace 3 and Ace 3 Pro respectively. While the Pete Lau-led brand remains tight-lipped about the arrival of the new Ace series of phones, its launch timeline and key specifications have been leaked by a Chinese tipster. OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro are expected to come with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro may still be limited to the Chinese market.
OnePlus Ace 5, OnePlus Ace 5 Pro specifications revealed
Tipster Digital Chat Station claimed on Weibo that OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will be launched by the end of this year or early January 2025. It was previously speculated that they would land in China sometime in November.
OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro are expected to feature BOE X2 OLED flat-panel displays with 1.5K resolution. The former is said to run a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro model may use the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro are expected to be equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX9 series sensor measuring 1/1.56 inches, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. Both models are rumored to feature triple rear cameras. They could come with a 6,000mAh battery and support 100W fast charging.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and OnePlus Ace 5 will debut as the successors to OnePlus Ace 3 and OnePlus Ace 3 Pro respectively. The OnePlus Ace 3 was launched in January with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and a 5,500mAh battery, while the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro was launched in June with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 6,100mAh battery.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro may be exclusive to the Chinese market. OnePlus Ace 5 may be rebranded as OnePlus 13R internationally.
