Police statement on what happened to Anuj
Regarding the encounter with Anuj Pratap Singh, Unnao Deputy Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Singh said that the two gangsters encountered the police in the early hours of today and In connection with the robbery that took place in Sultanpur on August 28. Police personnel from Achalganj police station and STF (Lucknow) team were involved in the incident. One gangster was injured in the conflict and another gangster took the opportunity to escape.
Injured Anuj Pratap Singh, a resident of Mohanganj police station (Amethi district), was taken to the government hospital in an ambulance for treatment where doctors declared him dead. Legal action is being taken and the body will be sent for autopsy.
It is learned that the UP STF killed Mangesh Yadav during an encounter in Kotwali rural area of Sultanpur on September 5. On September 11, Sultanpur police arrested Vivek Singh, Vinay Shukla, Arvind Yadav and Durgesh Singh. On September 20, the STF injured Ajay Yadav during an encounter and arrested him. Thereafter, on Monday, September 23, the STF killed Anuj Pratap Singh in a fight at Achalganj in Unnao. The police are now looking for Furqan, Arbaaz and Ankit Yadav.
