Cruelty exceeds the limit…Kicked the fetus to death, husband arrested

An incident that went beyond the limits of cruelty came to light in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. A man kicked his wife in the stomach, killing her unborn child. At present, the police have opened a case through multiple departments based on the victim woman’s report and arrested the defendant’s husband. Police said further action was being taken on the matter.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for kicking his wife in the abdomen, killing her fetus, police told a news agency. He told that Monica Shukla (32) lodged a complaint against her husband Sumit Kumar Shukla (38) at the Gyanpur police station on September 2.

FIR registered under various sections of IPC

Police said the case was filed under IPC sections 377 (unnatural offence), 313 (abortion without consent of woman), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 498A (cruelty by husband or husband’s relative) Women), Article 504 (Abuse of women by husband or husband’s relatives) registered. Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Torture and Unnatural Rape Allegations

Gyanpur SHO Arun Dubey said Monica Shukla got married to Sumit Kumar Shukla in 2014. Since their marriage, Sumit often molested his wife and committed unnatural rape. For this reason, there was a dispute between the two. Earlier this year, he kicked Monica in the stomach when she was pregnant for the first time, killing the fetus in her womb.
