Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced his departure from the official residence. He said on Sunday that he will be away from the CM’s residence during the Navratri festival that begins on October 3.

In his first public address after resigning as chief minister on September 17, party convener Arvind Kejriwal attacked the BJP for implicating him in false cases and said he could not stand the “stain of dishonesty”.

If he was not honest, he would not have provided free electricity: Kejriwal

“I cannot live with the shame of being dishonest, let alone work,” he said on the show, according to the news agency. “If I were dishonest, would I provide free electricity and buses for women?” “Would I improve public schools and hospitals?”

Kejriwal, who was released on bail from Tihar jail on September 13 after spending more than five months in jail in the GST policy case, said he entered politics to serve the country and not for greed of power or position.

Govt’s functioning is completely honest: Kejriwal

Kejriwal said AAP had been running the Delhi government with complete honesty for the past decade and provided facilities like free water and electricity to the people, for which he claimed the BJP was unhappy.

Kejriwal alleged, “Modi got upset about this and thought that if he has to win the election and defeat the Aam Aadmi Party, he should attack our honesty, so he involved us in false cases and sent us to jail.”

BJP’s false allegations hurt me: Kejriwal

The former chief minister also said he resigned because he was hurt by corruption allegations levelled against him and said he had earned only respect, not money, in the past 10 years. He said, “I am not a leader, I am not thick-skinned, it makes no difference to me, I feel sad when people from the BJP level defamatory comments and false allegations against me.”
