A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court against the use of animal fat in the Laddu Prasadam of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple. The petition has demanded the formation of an SIT to investigate the entire incident.

Hindu Sena president Surjit Singh Yadav has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. Earlier, lawyer Satyam Singh Rajput had sent a petition to Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on the same issue. The ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Thursday claimed that a livestock laboratory in Gujarat had confirmed adulteration.

Naidu made this allegation

The entire controversy started with the revelation of the allegations and report of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu on September 18. Citing the report, N Chandrababu Naidu claimed that the so-called ‘desi ghee’ used in prasad in Tirupati was adulterated with animal fat. His claim triggered a huge political controversy.

Apart from this, the dispute over Tirupati Balaji temple Prasad has also reached the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The petition was filed by former chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party, the YSRCP.

A complaint was also filed against Jagmohan Reddy

In this petition, it is alleged that CM Chandrababu Naidu has tarnished his image through false allegations. A complaint of attack on faith and corruption has been filed against former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and others in Hyderabad after the ghee used in Tirupati Laddu Prasadam was allegedly adulterated. Here, he has been accused of maliciously desecrating the temple and hurting the religious sentiments of Sanatani Hindus.
