Vivo V40e scheduled to launch in India next week; will come with 5,500mAh battery

After the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro, the Vivo V40e will soon launch in India as the third member of the company’s V40 series. The upcoming smartphone has an updated design than its predecessor, the Vivo V30e. It is also confirmed to be available in two colours. The Vivo V40e will reportedly come with a 6.77-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is confirmed to come with a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

The Vivo V40e India launch event will take place on September 25 at 12:00 pm IST, the brand announced the news via a press invite on Friday. Meanwhile, a dedicated microsite on the Vivo India website is teasing the design and key specifications of the phone.

Vivo V40e key specifications announced

The design of the Vivo V40e is slightly different from the Vivo V30e and it comes with a new camera module. The phone is rumored to be available in Mint Green and Royal Bronze colours in India. The phone will feature a 6.77-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz 3D curved display, HDR10+ support, 93.3% screen-to-body ratio, and SGS low blue light certification.

In terms of optics, the Vivo V40e features an Infinity Eye camera module design with Aura light. The dual-camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony sensor (with 2x portrait mode) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front, it has a 50-megapixel selfie camera. The camera unit supports AI Eraser and AI Photo Enhancer features.

Vivo has equipped the Vivo V40e with a 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. It has a thickness of 7.49mm and weighs 183 grams. Although the processor details of the Vivo V40e have not been officially announced, it is rumored to be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 SoC. The phone may also have an IP65 rating.
