A case of track tampering occurred in Vadodara district near Surat. Here, some unidentified person opened the fish plate and key and placed it on the up track. This could have caused a bigger accident, but the deputy station master Kiman alerted Kiman Subhash Kumar in time. After this, the track was checked and it was found that someone was conspiring to derail the train. On receiving the information, the train was immediately stopped and the track was repaired. Operations have resumed.

The incident took place at 5.24 am when constable Subhash Kumar received information through deputy station master Kim that unidentified persons had opened the fish plate and some keys on the up track and kept them on the up track. The incident took place between km 292/27-291/27.

Train No. 12910 was stopped due to displaying a red flag

After receiving the information, Subhash Kumar took immediate action and warned all officials concerned and asked to stop the train. Train No. 12910 was coming at that time and stopped after showing the green flag. After this, the work of repairing the track began. The train stopped at KSB Main Line (M/L) at 05:27.

The train was delayed by 23 minutes

It is reported that this information was then immediately sent to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Engineering Control Office (CTO). The key personnel checked again and informed the deputy station master that the track was safe for the train at 05:40. Thereafter, after re-checking and monitoring, the train departed at 05:46. During the entire incident, train 12910 was delayed by 23 minutes and train 12954 was delayed by 5 minutes.
