Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gubaz scored 105 runs off 110 balls. This was Gubaz’s seventh century in ODIs. Rahmat Shah (50) and Azmatullah Umarzai played a stormy match, scoring 86 runs off 50 balls. For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi, Nandre Berger, Naqaba Peter and Aiden Markram scored one run each.

South Africa made a balanced start by scoring 312. At one point he scored 73 in 14 overs before captain Temba Bavuma (38) was caught by Mohammad Nabi off the ball of Azmatullah Omarzai.
