When the school did not take action against the teacher, the crowd rioted

Suket police station SHO Raghuveer Singh said on Friday that the accused, Ved Prakash Bairwa (32), was arrested on Thursday following a complaint filed by a 17-year-old student against the lecturer.

The SHO said the minor claimed that the accused tried to force her into physical relations and sometimes even held her hand forcibly. Subsequently, the student complained about the matter to her class teacher and the principal. However, when the school did not resolve the girl’s problem, she told her parents.

Thereafter, on Thursday, he reached the school to discuss the matter, but the principal and the accused teacher were allegedly angry with him and threw him out of the school. Meanwhile, as soon as the news got out, hundreds of angry villagers came to the school to protest and the school staff locked themselves in the room seeing the crowd.

During this time, the angry villagers created a riot inside the school premises for about two and a half hours, while the student was allegedly waiting outside the school wearing a shoe garland. After receiving information about the riot, the local police rushed to the school and after seeing the angry crowd, they called in more police from two other police stations. Subsequently, the accused lecturer was taken to the police station.
