The last day of the week saw all records destroyed in the stock market. Indian stocks hit a new high two days after the Fed cut rates. Stocks hit a new all-time high. Shortly before the close, the Sensex rose 1500 points to 84,694.46, but after the close, the Sensex rose 1359.51 points to 84,544.31.
Talking about Nifty, today it rose by more than 400 points and broke its all-time record to reach 25,849.25. However, after the close, Nifty50 rose by 375 points to 25,790.95. Nifty Bank rose by 755 points. It closed at 53,793 points.
28 out of the top 30 stocks of BSE Sensex rose. While two stocks fell. The hot stocks in the stock market today are M&M, ICICI Bank and JSW Steel. These stocks have gained up to 6%. Today Sensex rose 1.63%, Nifty rose 1.48%, BSE Midcap rose 1.16% and Small Cap rose 1.37%. This means that the small and midcaps have recovered significantly from yesterday’s losses.
These 10 stocks had the biggest gains
Among large-cap stocks, Mahindra & Mahindra rose 5.48% and Zomato rose 4.18%. IRFC rose 3.98%. Mid-cap stocks – Max Healthcare (8.44%), Tube Investments (7.85%), Mazagon Dock Shipyard (7.75%) and BSE (7.38%) rose. Talking about small-cap stocks, RITES was the biggest gainer, up 10%, Cochin Shipyard rose 10% and HUDCO rose 9%.
Investors make a profit of Rs 636 crore
The market capitalization of BSE was Rs 4,65,47,277.72 crore on Thursday and increased by Rs 636 crore to Rs 4,71,84,122 crore by the close of Friday. This means that investors have made a profit of Rs 636 crore today.
It is noteworthy that the stock market opened slowly this morning but after an hour the market started to rebound and soon the stock market broke all records. The Sensex opened at 83,603.04 while the Nifty opened at 25,525.95.
