Manipur has been witnessing violence for the past 16 months. Meanwhile, a report has caused serious concern among security agencies in the state. According to intelligence reports, more than 900 Kuki militants, who are trained in drone bombs, projectiles, missiles and jungle warfare, have entered Manipur from Myanmar.

The militants were divided into groups of 30 people each.

According to sources, the militants were divided into groups of 30 and were spread across the state. The sources said that on September 28, the militants were planning to attack the villages of the Meitei group. The intelligence was provided by senior officials of the Thubal district of Manipur.

Confirming the intelligence report in Imphal today, Manipur State Security Advisor Kuldeep Singh said, “We are taking the report seriously and taking effective steps to stop it.”

The latest violence shocked everyone

Let us tell you that the violence in Manipur has been going on for about 16 months. But the latest violence in early September came as a shock to everyone. Drones, missiles and dangerous modern weapons were used in the attack. So far, 226 people have been killed in the fighting between the Kuki and Meitei communities. Hundreds of people have been injured and thousands of properties have been damaged.

Why doesn’t the violence stop?

The most important question is why the violence in Manipur has not stopped? There are many reasons for this. If we understand in simple language, the whole fight is between two ethnic groups, the Kuki and Mai Tai communities. The people of the Mai Tai community mostly live in the valleys and the people of the Kuki community live in the mountains. After the violence, these two communities completely stopped visiting each other.

This isolation is also a major reason why the violence cannot be stopped. Due to the different locations of the two, the entire area becomes a border. Reports say that both have made safe shelters for themselves. Both have a large number of weapons. Therefore, whenever they get a chance, they will attack each other and then hide in the shelters. It is difficult to stop them because of the valleys and hills.
