Barmer: The wife and daughter of a Padma Shri awardee cheated on their husband and the fraudsters took away gold worth one lakh dollars on the pretext of polishing jewellery.

The deceased Padmashree was located in the posh area of ​​Barmer district headquarters. A major robbery was carried out by thugs in broad daylight at the house of Magraj Jain. The thugs barged into the house and trapped the wife and daughter of the Padma Shri awardee. They then fled with jewellery worth lakhs of rupees. After the incident, the wife and daughter started crying and there was panic all around. The incident took place just 50 metres from Mahavir Nagar post in Kotwali police station area of ​​Barmer city.

On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the spot and started investigating the matter. The police immediately contacted the police dog squad and started an investigation. They started scanning the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity to identify the accused.

Crooks steal £7 worth of jewellery

The incident took place around 12 noon on Friday when Padmasree was late for work. Magraj Jain’s wife Sushila Devi and her daughter were alone at home when two gangsters broke into the house, pretending to polish the gold ornaments with powder and then took away the jewellery.

The accused first irradiated a brass lamp with chemical powder. Seeing this, two gold rings and four gold bangles on the hands of Padma Shri’s wife and the gold chain on her daughter’s neck were removed on the pretext of polishing, and chemical powder was added to the hot water. Afterwards, the mother and daughter were told to take out the jewelry after the water cooled down. After the accused left, the mother and daughter found that there was no jewelry in the water. The two criminals fled with about 7 kg of gold ornaments.

Police begin investigation

Regarding this fraud case, Superintendent of Police Jassaram Bose said that only the mother and daughter were in the house. The two gangsters broke into the house and stole the gold jewelry under the pretext of cleaning the gold jewelry. The surrounding areas are currently being surveyed and the vicious thugs are being hunted down.
