A man hanged himself on the window bars due to financial constraints in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. Regarding the incident, a 26-year-old youth hanged himself on the iron bars of the window of his house in Ahirpura village, police said on Friday.

Circle officer Mohammad Faheem Qureshi said Akash Verma committed suicide on Thursday night. On receiving the information, the staff rushed to the spot, sent the body for postmortem and started investigation.

The official said Akash got married six months ago and faced financial crisis as his shop and business were not running. He became frustrated and committed suicide.

According to the news agency, ASP Abhay Nath Tripathi told that Deepak Kumar alias Deepu Soni, 28, and his mother Suman Devi, 55, had consumed poisonous substances in their house in Nai Basti Sai Colony.

Police said the incident came to light when Suman Devi’s daughter called in the morning to inquire about her situation, but when she received no response, she informed the neighbors. When no one responded, the neighbors called the police. He said that when the police station officer-in-charge Bhimsen Pauniya arrived at the scene and broke into the room, he found two bodies in a room.
