Three soldiers injured in 51mm mortar blast during training in Pokhran

A major accident occurred at the Pokharan firing range in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan today, Friday afternoon. A 51mm mortar shell exploded while the BSF was conducting a firing exercise. As a result, three trainee soldiers were injured. All three are out of danger. The military has not disclosed any more information yet.

Mortar blasts occurred at the Kishangarh firing range in Rajasthan in 2016 and earlier in 2017. Even then, many soldiers were injured. Two blasts occurred in 2017, injuring nine soldiers. Three blasts occurred in 2016. Four Army soldiers were also injured in 2012 due to mortar blasts.
