Raghuraj Pratap Singh aka Raja Bhaiya, MLA from Pratapgarh Kunda and president of Jansatta Dal is in the headlines again. He strongly appreciated the new Waqf Bill 2024 brought by the Modi government. Raja Bhaiya said that having such a lot of power in the Waqf Board could be fatal for the country. Thank you PM Modi for bringing the Waqf Bill.

Kunda MLA Raja Bhaiya said this at a programme organised by Maharaj Mandhata Singh during his stay in Rajkot, Gujarat. During the programme, he described the powers of the Waqf Board as a matter of national concern. According to Raja Bhaiya, there is no institution like the Waqf Board in any country in the world except India. So why is there so much debate about it in India?

Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya also mentioned that the UPA government in 2013 expanded the powers of the Waqf Board. He described it as one-sided and peculiar and said that such a large power in the hands of the Waqf Board could be fatal for the country. Raja Bhaiya made it clear that the Waqf Board in its present form and its powers is a big challenge for Indian society and the Constitution.

Kunda MLA raises issue with Waqf Committee

Raja Bhaiya also questioned the jurisdiction of the Waqf Board. He said the powers of the Waqf Board are wide-ranging and can take over properties without any judicial intervention. Referring to the Waqf Act, 2013, the Kunda MLA said the powers given to the Waqf Board under the Act violate general civil rights. The fact that some Maulanas are trying to rally support for the Waqf Board through their mobile phones shows the seriousness of the situation. This is not just a political issue but a matter of national security and social balance.

Raja Bhaiya praises PM Modi

Raja Bhaiya praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said the steps he has taken to control the Waqf Board are commendable. He said it was a tough decision and its implementation was equally challenging. But we should support this step of our leader and encourage him. We have full faith in him.
