Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said Naxalism will be eradicated by March 2026. He also called on the Maoists to renounce violence, lay down their arms and surrender. Addressing 55 victims of Naxalite violence, the Home Minister said, “We will eradicate Naxalism and Naxalite ideology from this country and establish peace.”
After meeting Naxalites affected and victims in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, Amit Shah said the Narendra Modi government has succeeded in eliminating Naxalism from the entire country except four districts of Bastar. He said the date of March 31, 2026 has been fixed to bid a final goodbye to Naxalism in the country. I assure you that Naxalism will end before then.”

Will end Nazism and terrorism
Amit Shah said that in the near future, operations against Naxalites and terrorists will be launched in Kashmir to completely eliminate left-wing extremism and terrorism in Kashmir. He said that the central and Chhattisgarh governments will bring special rehabilitation policies for the Naxalite affected people.
Shah further said that the security forces have achieved major success in their operations against the Maoists as the problem is now confined to four districts of Chhattisgarh. Shah said that the Maoists used to cross the border from Pashupatinath (Nepal) to Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), but the Modi government ruined it.

The home ministry along with the state government will soon formulate a welfare scheme for the people affected by Naxal violence in Chhattisgarh, Shah said: “We will help you in every possible way through our welfare measures in employment, healthcare and other areas.
