Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip will be launched in global markets this month

Xiaomi’s first clamshell foldable phone, the Xiaomi Mix Flip, is about to be launched globally. Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun officially confirmed on Thursday that the phone will come to markets outside of China. The Xiaomi Mix Flip was launched in China in July along with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. The Mix Flip has a 4.01-inch external display and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It is equipped with a 4,780mAh battery and supports 67W wired fast charging. The Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to compete with similar clamshell foldable smartphones from Samsung and Motorola.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip CEO Lei Jun announced that the Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip will be launched in the global market in September. The specific release date has not yet been determined, but more details about the launch are expected to be revealed at the Xiaomi Mi 14T series launch event next week.

Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to challenge Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra in the global market. It is said to be priced at BGN 2,600 (roughly Rs. 1,20,800) in Europe.

Xiaomi Mix Flip price, specifications

The Xiaomi Mix Flip is priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 69,000) in China for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB RAM and storage options are priced at CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs. 74,800) and CNY 7,299 (roughly Rs. 84,000), respectively.

Xiaomi Mix Flip runs Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14 and is equipped with a 6.86-inch 1.5K AMOLED inner screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The outer screen is a 4.01-inch 1.5K (1,392 x 1,280 pixels) AMOLED panel. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with up to 16GB of LPPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage.

As far as optics are concerned, the Xiaomi Mix Flip comes with a Leica dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary sensor and a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV60A40 sensor. It has a 32-megapixel OV32B sensor for selfies.
