According to police records, five cases have been registered against Ajay Yadav (DM), who was injured in the encounter with the police. These include cases of snatch, theft and cheating. Three cases have been registered in Jaunpur and one each in Pratapgarh and Sultanpur. Ajay was originally a resident of Singramau police station (Jaunpur).

It is noteworthy that earlier in the Sultanpur incident Mangesh Yadav was killed in the encounter. He was also a resident of Jaunpur district. There are many controversies about Mangesh’s encounter, with leaders and family members claiming that the encounter was fake. However, the police produced CCTV and other evidences claiming that Mangesh Yadav and his accomplices entered the Sultanpur jewellery store and carried out the robbery. There are 7 cases registered against Mangesh.

In fact, on August 28, five gangsters arrived on two bikes in broad daylight and looted jewellery and cash worth crores of rupees from a bullion company called Bharat Ji Soni in Kotwali Chowk area of ​​Sultanpur Nagar. The incident created a stir in the entire Uttar Pradesh, including the area. While the police started taking action in the case, just two days after the incident, the mastermind Vipin Singh surrendered in a Rae Bareli court in another case. A few days later, three others were arrested after the encounter.

The police have arrested nine persons in the case so far, and Mangesh Yadav has been killed in an encounter. In the same case, the police are hunting for other absconding criminals. This morning, the STF and local SOG police learned that Ajay Yadav, a wanted criminal with a reward of Rs 1 lakh in the case, was coming to Jaisinpur area.

The police then began a blockade and near Moiri village, STF, SOG, Jaisinpur and Nagar Kotwali police surrounded Ajay Yadav and asked him to surrender. But Ajay did not surrender and started shooting. In retaliation, Ajay was shot in the leg. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
