Vivo X200’s low-light camera capabilities revealed on social media

The Vivo X200 series is expected to launch in China next month, including two smartphones. Ahead of the official launch, a company official revealed the camera features of the alleged standard version of the Vivo X200 phone on social media, especially the rumored new telephoto sensor, showing its 10x zoom capability in low light. It is worth noting that the specifications of the Vivo X200 series recently appeared on a Chinese certification website, suggesting that the series will be launched in China soon.

In a post on Chinese social media platform Weibo, Vivo China Product Manager Han Boxiao shared a snapshot allegedly taken by the Vivo X200. The photo is said to not only show off the low-light capabilities of the phone’s new telephoto sensor, but also the new Moon Mode.

Officials, however, clarified that the moon shown in the image was artistically altered.

Vivo X200 Camera and Other Specs (Expected)

In another leak, tipster Digital Chat Station (Chinese translation) shared the camera specifications of the Vivo X200. The phone is said to be equipped with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary camera, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto macro lens.

According to the tipster, the camera unit will support 10x “fusion super-resolution algorithm”, which may just be another term for 10x hybrid zoom.

Earlier news said that the Vivo X200 may be equipped with a 6.3-inch 1.5K resolution flat display, equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip, equipped with a 5,500mAh – 5,600mAh “super large” battery, and support wireless charging.

In terms of design, the Vivo X200 is said to have a thin body with a thickness of about 8.x mm. The back of the smartphone may have a centrally located circular module surrounded by a silver ring. The display is speculated to have curved edges and a punch-hole notch in the center for the front-facing selfie camera.
