Speaking to reporters in Jammu, Congress leader Sachin Pilot said that after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has forced the BJP to withdraw several unconstitutional decisions, including horizontal contestation.
Pilot said the Congress will work tirelessly for the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Accompanied by All India Majlis Jammu and Kashmir Affairs in-charge Bharat Singh Solanki, Pilot stressed that the Congress has made great sacrifices for the country and its commitment to the welfare of the country is unwavering.
He was responding to reports that the BJP was in cahoots with some anti-national forces to grab power in Jammu and Kashmir through proxies. Accompanied by All India Majlis Joint Secretary and Chief Officer Manoj Yadav, Jammu and Kashmir Majlis Senior Vice President and Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, All India Majlis Media Coordinator Dolly Sharma and Onika Mehrotra, Pilot also highlighted the Congress-NCP alliance to provide a strong alternative to the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir. Pilot pointed out that the BJP does not have a significant influence in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in the Kashmir Valley.
