The company said that teen accounts will be automatically transferred to teen accounts. In addition to this, minors under 16 will have to get parental permission to change settings. This will also make it easier for parents to monitor.

It will start in these countries from now and will reach everyone in the next 60 days. After that, Instagram teen accounts will start rolling out globally next year.

In Instagram Teen Accounts, users will receive alerts if they use the platform for more than 60 minutes a day. A sleep mode will also be available, which will start at 10 pm and remain active until 7 am. During this period, notifications will be muted.
