Israel wrote the script based on instructions from Hezbollah leaders

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who has long urged Hezbollah fighters to use pagers and walkie-talkies instead of cell phones or internet calls, was the first to speak publicly about the use of pagers in 2022, and following this statement, Israel has prepared a blueprint for its Lebanon operation.

“If Israel continues to go high-tech, we will become low-key,” Nasrallah said in a speech to Hezbollah fighters and supporters in February. He said Israel is using mobile phone networks to track the location of Hezbollah fighters. “If someone is an Israeli agent, then the agent is in your hands. The mobile phones in your hands, your wife and your children are not mobile phones, but Israeli agents. Lock these phones in iron boxes.”

Israel has set up shell companies in 2022

Hezbollah leaders set up two or three shell companies in Budapest, Hungary in 2022 to carry out the Lebanon operation. BAC Consulting KFT was one of these shell companies. The company later established a long-term partnership with Taiwan’s Golden Apollo Company and began to produce wireless equipment such as pagers and walkie-talkies under this partnership.

The shell company, set up under an Israeli plan, was disguised as an international pager manufacturer, the report said, and it produced pagers and walkie-talkies under the Taiwan Golden Apollo brand.

Three Israeli intelligence officials who provided information about the operation said Israel had set up two or three such shell companies, such as a pager manufacturing company. To maintain its credibility, BAC also took general orders and delivered them. But his entire focus was on Hezbollah and its pager orders.

The company reportedly used explosive PETN to prepare batteries and installed them in pagers. These pagers were first sent to Lebanon in May 2022. Although the number of pagers sent to Lebanon was small at the time, the company increased the production of these pagers when Nasrallah first talked about using them after the Israeli army’s attacks on Hezbollah militants increased.

For Hezbollah, the pagers and walkie-talkies were a means of security, but Israeli intelligence officials called the devices “buttons” that could be pressed at the right time to execute an operation, and that time came this week, the report said.
