Did Israel hastily carry out the pager bombing in Lebanon? This is because a new theory has now emerged. It is believed that Hezbollah suspected that Israel was planning to do something with the pagers. In this case, Israel had no choice but to carry out the pager bombing.

Sources said that on Tuesday, pagers exploded simultaneously in parts of Lebanon and Syria. Hezbollah fighters used these pagers to send messages. So far, nine people have been killed in these explosions. However, three thousand people are said to be injured.

Israel and its intelligence agency, Mossad, are believed to be behind the bombings. Israel has not yet made any comment on the matter.

The explosion comes amid rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. A U.S. official said Israel only has two choices: attack or leave, and he believes attacking is the right option.

What’s the story behind it?

US officials told news site Axios that Hezbollah militants were aware of Israel’s plans, so they planned to launch the pager attack as soon as possible.

Israel feared that Hezbollah might know about the explosives buried in the pagers. A U.S. official said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his ministers and intelligence officials decided not to take any risks with the pager attack.

It is understood that in recent days, two Hezbollah militants expressed suspicion about the pager and feared that Israel might take action.

That’s all America knows!

According to Axios, Amos Hochstein, an adviser to US President Joe Biden, visited Israel on Monday. He then spoke for hours with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and other senior officials.

The U.S. official said Israel had given no indication at the time that it planned to do anything like this in Lebanon.

Shortly before Tuesday’s pager attack in Lebanon, Israeli Defense Minister Galant spoke with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and told him that Israel would soon launch an operation in Lebanon, but he did not provide any further information.

The U.S. official said Israel has not yet informed the U.S. of the details of the operation. Galant made this decision because Israel does not want the U.S. to be completely kept in the dark.

After the action, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller claimed that the United States knew nothing about it and was not involved in it.

How do pager attacks work?

According to local time at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, pager attacks occurred in many places across Lebanon. According to reports, the pager made a “beep” sound in the afternoon and exploded a few seconds later.

It is understood that these pagers were loaded with PETN, a dangerous explosive. This explosive was placed next to the pager batteries. These pagers were detonated by the increase in battery temperature.

Hezbollah started using these pagers only a few months ago. That’s because it’s difficult to track pagers.
