Rahul Pandey, an IAS officer who was earlier posted in Jammu and Kashmir, has been appointed as the district collector of Hathras district in Uttar Pradesh, according to a report in Cross Town News.
Just a few months ago, the region made headlines when a stampede occurred during a Bhole Baba party in Hathras, killing 123 people.
Prior to this, Rahul was appointed as DC of Hamirpur.
Rahul was previously DC Kathua and Jammu and Kashmir Information Director.
