The villagers were so scared of the wolf that they slept on their roofs at night with sticks. People were guarding the village. Many people stayed up all night due to fear and were on high alert. Villagers said the wolf kept attacking people.

However, the forest department said there could also be other wild animals attacking which the villagers mistook for wolves. There was confusion between the villagers and the forest department regarding the wolf. The incidents have so far caused panic in the entire area. The forest department is working hard to find and capture the wolf as soon as possible to end the fear spreading among the villagers.

Operation Bhediya continues in Baraichi. Even after the capture of the last five wolves, the fear of wolves in Maharishi village remains. Now, the forest department is searching for the alpha wolf, the lame one. Last night, the wolf escaped from Siseyachudamani village in Maharishi with a goat. Forest department DFO Ajit Singh arrived with drone camera and nets. A massive brawl continues between forest personnel and villagers.
