Mahoba: Highway bus hits police car, killing one police officer, injuring two others, and crushing pedestrians

Last night, a speeding bus hit a 112 PRV police vehicle in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh. One police officer riding in the PRV vehicle died and two police officers were seriously injured. After the accident, the road bus also ran over a pedestrian, who later died during treatment.

After receiving the information about the accident, the local police rushed to the scene. After much effort, the injured soldier trapped in the car was rescued and sent to the district hospital by ambulance. At the same time, after receiving the news, the deceased’s family was in chaos.

It is learnt that the driver of PRV 6329, head constable Abdul Haq, and his colleagues head constable Bechanlal and constable Subhashchandra, who dialled 112 at night, had gone to the designated location in Kabrai police station area for duty. When the PRV vehicle reached the Chandrawal Road turn, a road bus UP95 T 2146 from Mahoba station came from behind and hit it.

After the accident, the bus driver fled in his car. Meanwhile, local residents rushed to the scene as soon as they received the news. He said that after hitting the police car, when the bus reached Parmanand Tiraha in the city, it also ran over and killed an unidentified pedestrian there.

After the incident, the accused driver parked the Mahoba station bus in the road workshop and fled. On the other hand, after receiving the news of the collision between the police car and the road bus, the local police and people gathered. After some efforts, the injured soldiers who were trapped in the car and covered in blood were rescued and all of them were sent to the district hospital by ambulance. The police also sent the unidentified passerby to the emergency room. Meanwhile, police constable Subhashchandra and the unidentified passerby were declared dead.

The injured police officer Bekanlal said that he had set out to perform his duties according to the route map of the police station. Due to the rain, there were more vehicles on the road. We were parking the police car at the designated place, and suddenly the bus hit us hard from behind. After receiving information about the incident, senior police officers immediately rushed to the hospital. At present, the family of the deceased has been notified. The accused bus driver is under search.
