Superstar Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and superstar Ms. Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor are making their debut with a Netflix project. Junaid’s father Aamir has worked with almost every actress of his time. But he has never been seen in a film with Kush’s mother Sridevi. Throughout the 90s, when Aamir was making her mark in Bollywood, Sridevi also dabbled extensively in films. But did you know that Aamir not only missed working with Sridevi, he himself refused to do a film with her?

Old media reports claim that Aamir got an offer to work with Sridevi in a film after the huge success of his first film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak as a lead actor. The filmmakers wanted to bring both of them together to capitalize on Aamir’s recent success and Sridevi’s huge record. But Aamir didn’t want that.
According to Bollywood Life, Aamir and Sridevi also shot a photoshoot together. But Aamir was hesitant about doing a film together as he thought the audience might not like their pairing since Sridevi is older than him.
Apart from this, he also played the role of a college student in ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. He only wants to play roles that suit his age. Some reports also suggest that Aamir only wants to work with young actresses like Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit and Raveena Tandon. However, it’s not that Aamir doesn’t like Sridevi, on the contrary, he has a huge crush on the ‘Chandni’ actress. Aamir himself accepted this in an old interview.
When Aamir admitted that he had a crush on Sridevi
Aamir spoke about those he keeps staring at while promoting his film Thugs of Hindostan in 2018. First, he named his Thugs of Hindostan co-star Amitabh, but after a pause and hesitation, he said Sridevi is also an artist he can’t take his eyes off of.
According to Peering Moon, Aamir said, “I am a huge fan of his and I have a huge crush on him.” Afterwards, Aamir said about his photoshoot with Sridevi for a film magazine, “The photoshoot was done at the Centaur Hotel. I tried my best not to look into his eyes.” Aamir further recalled, “If I had to look into his eyes, he would have known that I had a crush on him!”
Aamir wants to remake Hollywood film with Sridevi
Aamir further said, “After returning from the photoshoot, he loved Sridevi’s personality, her beauty and grace so much that he wanted to work with her.” Aamir said that he also had an idea in his mind about what kind of film he wanted to make with Sridevi.
Amir told reporters: “In 1953, the Hollywood movie “Roman Holiday” was released, with Gregory Peck playing a reporter and Audrey Hepburn playing a royal princess who broke her own security and protocol and went to Rome alone. Peck met him and recognized him. The two had a lot of fun in Rome, but he didn’t tell anyone his true identity until the end.
Aamir told Mahesh Bhatt that he heard his wish and gave him a book from the bookshelf, which was the story of the Hollywood comedy It Happened One Night. He said, “That’s how I made Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi with Pooja Bhatt.” At the end of the conversation, Aamir said that he had always wanted to work with Sridevi.
