Rajouri, September 17: Thousands of devotees took part in a procession organised on the occasion of the Prophet’s Tabernacle (SAW) on Tuesday.
Rajouri district celebrated the festival of the Holy Communion with religious fervour and enthusiasm. The main procession was held in the main town of Rajouri in which people from different districts participated.
The procession started from the main bus station in the town and passed through different areas such as the city square, slaughterhouse, Abdullah Bridge, Gujjar Mandi Square and finally reached Markazi Eid Gah. Famous religious scholars and Islamic preachers led the procession, and the participants shouted religious slogans.
A religious gathering was also organized on Markazi Eidgah which was well attended and sermons were delivered by renowned Islamic scholars during the event. Similar processions were organized by devotees in other parts of Rajouri.
On the other hand, Milad processions were organized in all towns and other rural areas of Poonch district. A large number of people participated in the processions, while religious gatherings were organized on most major Eidgahs.
