The criminal who snatched a bag from a woman in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested by the police after an encounter. On September 16, the accused snatched the bags of a mother and daughter while riding a scooter on Station Road in Katra Kotwali area. The incident was captured by the CCTV cameras installed in the market. The accused, Vikas, has already committed a criminal offence. After his release from jail, he again got involved in robbery.
The police said the bag snatching incident was caught on CCTV. The accused has been identified as Vikas Hela. On Tuesday, the police learned from an informant that the accused would carry out the robbery incident in Vindhyachar. He was arrested after he was attacked near Ojrappur following a police siege.

Let us tell you that on Monday afternoon, the daughter and mother were travelling on a scooter. At the same time, two criminals on bikes arrived there and started trying to snatch his bag. Just then, the mother and daughter fell to the ground along with the scooter. The people present picked it up. But the criminals escaped.
The offender was taken to hospital for treatment.
Additional Inspector General of Police Nitesh Singh said that rewarded criminal Vikas Hela has been arrested after an encounter. The accused opened fire on the police while trying to escape. In retaliation, the police shot the criminal in the leg and arrested him.
