A case has been reported in Thane district of Maharashtra, where a man has been accused of raping a 21-year-old woman several times and forcing her to have an abortion. Based on the complaint filed by the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused under Section 376 (rape) and other related sections of the Penal Code. No arrests have been made in the case yet.
A police officer said that the accused sexually assaulted the woman several times in several hotels in Badlapur between February and April 2024. During this period, when she became pregnant, they threatened her and forced her to have an abortion. The victim told reporters that the accused forced her to have an abortion at a nursing home in Ulhasnagar. The police are investigating the matter.
Let us tell you that in the first week of July, an incident of rape and murder of a 9-year-old minor girl occurred in Thane district. It is understood that the girl was alone at home at the time of the incident. Her parents had gone to work. Her brother was in school at the time. The accused took advantage of this and first made her a victim of his desires and then strangled her to death.
The victim’s father told reporters that when his son came home from school, he did not find his sister at home. He searched many places for his sister. In the evening, he returned home and his son told him about the incident. They began to look for her and later found the victim in a coma on the third floor of a building. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but he was already dead at that time.
The father of the deceased girl worked in a power loom and the mother worked in a factory. The elder daughter was married and the two girls worked hard to support their parents. The deceased was the youngest in the family. Senior police officer Vinayak Gaikwad said that the police conducted a close investigation into the incident and the accused Abhay Yadav was arrested in just two hours.
