What is the soaking method?
Before Ganesh Visarjan, worship Lord Ganesha properly. Offer modak and fruits during the puja. At the same time, perform Lord Ganesha’s aarti. Now pray to Lord Ganesha and leave. Respectfully lift the idol of Ganpati Maharaj from the worship place. Spread a pink cloth on the board. Gently place the idol on the board. First purify the board with Ganga water.
Carry a bundle of fruits, flowers, clothes and modak along with Ganesha idol with you. Put some rice, wheat and Panchmeva in the bundle and then put some coins in it to make a bundle. Place that bundle near the idol of Lord Ganesha. Now immerse the idol of Lord Ganesha in the flowing water. Before immersing the Ganpati, perform his aarti again. After the Aarti, ask Ganpati to fulfill your wishes.
