Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a big statement regarding Gyanvapi. He said that in today’s time people call Gyanvapi a mosque in other words. But that Gyanvapi is Vishwanath ji himself. This statement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has come after the decision of Varanasi Court on Gyanvapi on Friday.

Let us tell you that a Varanasi court has rejected the petition filed by the Hindu side, in which the local District Magistrate was requested to order the repair of the basement of Vyas Ji located in the premises of the Gyanvapi Mosque complex.

The District Magistrate of Varanasi is the local custodian of the complex. The court of Civil Judge Senior Division Hitesh Agarwal on Thursday upheld the ongoing worship activities in the basement, taking into account the objections raised by the Muslim side and the challenge pending before the Supreme Court.

Hindu side’s lawyer Madan Mohan Yadav said that the court’s decision was based on the Muslim side’s opposition to the repair of Vyas ji’s basement and the legal proceedings going on in the Supreme Court. In such a situation, despite the decision, the Hindu side is planning to appeal in the court of the District Judge for permission to repair the basement.

Yadav said that following the court order, worship resumed in Vyasaji’s basement on January 31, allowing devotees to have darshan of the installed idols. However, the Hindu side expressed concern over the safety of the basement due to its old and weak roof and sought the court’s intervention for repair work.

They argued that Muslim devotees walking on the roof could pose a risk of the building collapsing, so they demanded that the roof and pillars be repaired.
