Today the business of online food ordering and delivery has become very big. People like this facility of getting food delivered at home in a short time. If it is very hot, then ice cream or juice can be ordered immediately and if it is raining, then hot pakoras. In such a situation, there is no need to work hard at home. But someone or the other is working hard for this, like restaurant workers or food delivery agents. These people are seen working in every weather condition for their stomach. Despite this, some customers are rude to them.
Recently, a video of a Swiggy delivery agent went viral on Twitter who is going to deliver food to a customer in heavy rain. He is standing at a traffic light and getting drenched in the rain. This video was shared by an ex-user named Ankush Sharma and he captioned it – ‘This is a heartbreaking sight. I promise that from today onwards, I will give a tip of Rs 20 to every rider who delivers food to me.’
It is written on the video- ‘Rain is not romantic for everyone.’ People made many comments on the video. One user wrote- Companies should increase the prices and give these people a better salary. Another wrote- See what difficulties food reaches us. Other people also promised to add tips for the delivery agents. However, it cannot be said when and where this video is from.
A third said, ‘I always tip delivery agents ₹30-40 for their service. This is the least we can do along with giving them water. Also, never bargain with roadside vendors; they hardly make a profit.’ Earlier, a similar video of a Zomato delivery agent had saddened people. It showed him looking for a customer sitting in a car amidst traffic.
