A young man upset with OLA Electric’s service set the showroom on fire! The company took action

There was a commotion in the showroom of the country’s largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric when a young man, angry with the company’s service, set the showroom on fire. The video of the arson in this showroom located in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka is becoming increasingly viral on social media. The showroom has suffered considerable damage in this incident and an FIR has been registered in the case and the accused has been taken into custody.

What is the matter:

Mohammad Nadeem, 26, a mechanic by profession, bought the scooter on August 28. But he repeatedly faced problems which the showroom staff could not fix despite several visits. According to the police, Nadeem set the showroom on fire by sprinkling petrol because he felt the staff was ignoring him. Initially, officials suspected that the fire was caused by a short circuit. However, investigation revealed that the fire was set deliberately.

It is being told that many mechanics have said that there is a lot of backlog in Ola service centers and they are having difficulty in dealing with the number of complaints. Although there were no casualties in this fire, the showroom has suffered a loss of lakhs. Many scooters present in the showroom caught fire and a large part of the showroom was badly burnt.

The company took action:

Ola Electric took immediate action in this case and lodged an FIR against the accused Nadeem in the local police station. Sharing the information through the company’s official social media handle, it was told that, “Yesterday there was an incident of arson in one of our brand stores in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. The mastermind of this violent incident has been identified and an FIR has been registered against the said person in the concerned police station. He has been arrested and the investigation is going on.

“Apart from the FIR, we at Ola strongly condemn such unlawful acts and will take all necessary steps to ensure that appropriate and strict action is taken in this matter and such an incident does not happen again.”
