Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament Anurag Singh Thakur today launched a scathing attack on the Gandhi-Abdullah families, accusing them of advocating for terrorists and separatists in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to media persons, Thakur said, “During the rule of the three families, Jammu and Kashmir became synonymous with conflict, terrorism, and instability. But today, we are living in a Jammu and Kashmir that is progressing on the path of peace, development, and prosperity.”

He attributed this transformation to the determination and dedication of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards the people of Kashmir, which has brought Jammu and Kashmir to this point.

Thakur stated that the Modi government has consistently worked against terrorism and separatism. He questioned the motives of the Gandhi-Abdullah families, asking, “Why do they want to release enemies of the country who are locked in jail? Why do they want to disturb the peaceful Jammu and Kashmir again? Why do the Gandhi-Abdullah families have so much sympathy for drug traffickers, terrorists, and stone-pelters?”

The BJP leader accused the three families of depriving Jammu and Kashmir of its rights and acquiring luxuries for themselves. He expressed confidence that their candidates will lose in the upcoming elections due to their misdeeds.

Thakur also criticized Omar Abdullah, who previously said he would not contest the elections but is now running from two constituencies, stating that his condition is really weak in both places.

The BJP leader praised the revocation of Article 370, saying it has provided relief to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
