After a long wait, the country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer HeroMotoCorp has finally unveiled the new updated model of its famous scooter Hero Destini 125. This scooter has received a major update after almost 6 years. The company has made many major changes in the new Hero Destini which makes it much better than the previous model. This scooter, which comes in 3 different variants, will mainly compete with the Honda Activa 125. So let’s see how the new Hero Destini 125 is-

Variants of Hero Destini 125:

The company has introduced the new Destiny in three variants – VX, ZX and ZX Plus. The base VX variant has a front drum brake, a simple analog dash with a small LCD inset. This variant does not have the i3s fuel-saving start/stop technology. The mid-spec ZX variant, on the other hand, has been equipped with slightly better features.

Its mid variant gets digital dash with Bluetooth-connectivity, backlit starter button, front disc brake, pillion backrest as well as auto-cancelling indicators. The company claims that this feature is being offered for the first time in the segment. Talking about the top-spec variant ZX+, bronze has been used in it with chrome accents and the alloy wheels have been made beautiful.

Power and performance:

This scooter uses an air-cooled single cylinder engine of 124.6 cc capacity. Which generates 9hp power at 7,000 rpm and 10.4Nm torque at 5,500 rpm. Hero MotoCorp claims that this scooter can travel up to 59 km in one liter of petrol. This mileage is certified by ICAT.

The company has provided Combi Braking System (CBS) as standard in all variants. Apart from this, there is engine cut-off, boot lighting (light in the storage under the seat), USB charging port for charging mobile phones, 19 liters of under seat storage under the seat and 2 liters of storage space in the front apron. The company has also provided a hook in its front apron, which is claimed to be capable of lifting a load of up to 3 kg.

Apart from the look and design, many changes have been made in this scooter. It gets 12-inch wheels on both sides. Due to the new wheels, the wheelbase of Destiny 125 has increased by 57mm. 190 mm front disc brake has been used in its ZX and ZX+ variants. This is the first time that this brake has been given in Destiny 125, while the base VX variant gets a 130 mm drum brake.

What will be the price:

However, Hero MotoCorp has only displayed this scooter. Its prices have not been announced yet. The previous model came in two variants, the price of which started at Rs 80,048. Now it will be interesting to see at what price the company launches the new Destiny.
