In a bid to increase voter turnout and empower women in the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024, the District Election Office of Reasi organized a “Nari Shakti Choupal” at the Community Facilitation Centre in Arnas on Tuesday. The event was part of the “Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation” (SVEEP) initiative, aimed at reaching out to voters in the far-flung areas of the district.
The Nari Shakti Choupal witnessed enthusiastic participation from local masses, including women from Self Help Groups, Anganwadi workers, and ASHA workers. The SVEEP team, led by Nodal Officer Sachin Sharma, provided comprehensive insights into the electoral process to the attendees.
The program was hosted under the supervision of District Election Officer Vishesh Mahajan, with the aim of promoting electoral participation and empowering women in the region. The event was well-received by the local community, who expressed their commitment to exercising their democratic rights in the upcoming elections.
