In Mumbai, a father had filed a complaint against his daughter for stealing Rs 22 lakh cash and gold jewellery. Actually, the father had given cash and jewellery to his daughter to keep several years ago, but in the month of May last year, she suddenly disappeared, after which the family came to know that she had married a man many years ago and had not told them about it.
According to news agency PTI, when the police started investigating the case, the accused woman was arrested. She had married a man about six years ago without informing her family and had disappeared from home in the month of May.
Father runs a paan shop
An officer of Vanrai police station said on Tuesday that the accused Aarti Dinesh Dwivedi had kept her marriage a secret from the family. The accused woman’s father Dinesh Dwivedi runs a paan shop. He said that many years ago he had given 22 lakh rupees and jewellery to Aarti for the marriage of his son, i.e. the accused woman’s brother, but in the month of May she suddenly disappeared. Then the family came to know that she had got married six years ago.
Police arrested the accused daughter
When they checked the cash and jewellery given to Aarti at home, it was also missing. After which Dinesh Dwivedi lodged a complaint against his daughter at the police station. After investigation, the police arrested the accused daughter and is now taking further action.
