Sub-inspector caught red handed in Lucknow, was taking 20 thousand rupees bribe to get his job removed from investigation, sent to jail

In Lucknow, a chowki incharge (inspector) has been arrested red handed while accepting a bribe of 20 thousand rupees. The vigilance team has taken action against the inspector. During the raid, the inspector tried to escape by pushing the team but the vigilance team surrounded him and caught him.

The case is of Doctor Kheda located in Para area, where the vigilance team caught the outpost in-charge red handed while taking a bribe of 20 thousand rupees. Seeing the vigilance team, the inspector tried to run away from there to save himself, but the team caught him.

Giving information, the Vigilance Department said that the accused sub-inspector was demanding 20 thousand rupees from Dinesh Patel, a resident of Pratapgarh, in exchange for removing his name from the final report in the case of money fraud through ATM. When Dinesh refused to give the money, the sub-inspector started threatening to put his name in the final report, after which, upset, Dinesh informed the SP Vigilance about the whole matter.

Then a team was formed to catch the accused inspector red handed. Last evening (2 August) Dinesh was given Rs. 20,000 and sent to the inspector so that the vigilance team could nab the accused. This is what happened. As soon as the outpost in-charge Rajkumar took the money from Dinesh’s hand, the vigilance team immediately reached the spot.

The team caught the inspector red handed while taking bribe on the spot. Then they took him in the car and left with him. The vigilance team said that the inspector has been arrested and a case has been registered in the matter, now further action is being taken.
