Senior BJP leader and MP Narayan Rane on Monday targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, but the words he used against Uddhav Thackeray have also embroiled Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in controversy. In fact, Rane attacked Thackeray and said, “When Shinde left you and took over the post of Chief Minister, you started calling him ‘Mindhe’ and called his government unconstitutional.

When he was with you and bringing the bags, you had no problem. The bags were being transported from Thane to the back gate of Matoshree. Today you are talking about throwing the same person out. We will not go out, but he can throw you out.” Although Rane did not clarify what was in these bags that were being transported to Matoshree, CM Shinde has been cornered by the bag statement.

He also said that keeping in mind the upcoming elections, the Mahavikas Aghadi is trying to incite riots by doing dirty politics in the state, especially on the issue of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s statue in Malvan. Rane has recommended the state government to take action against Sanjay Raut, who is trying to create unrest in the state by spreading pictures of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s statue on social media.

Rane said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar have publicly apologized for the fall of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the symbol of Maharashtra. The state government has formed committees to investigate the incident and has decided to install a new statue at the same place. The opposition is trying to create communal tension and street clashes in the state in one way or the other, while Maharashtra is moving ahead on the path of development.

Rane also alleged that Sharad Pawar was trying to vitiate the atmosphere in the state. He said that Sharad Pawar, who has been the Chief Minister and Union Minister for many years, did nothing for the reservation of the Maratha community. “When Sharad Pawar says that our government will be out of power in the state, it actually means that we will remain in power. Pawar says one thing but does something else.”
